Creativity has always shaped the way Lucy experiences and interprets the world.
Whether keeping illustrated journals on the road or creating murals and photography of her adventures abroad, she brings her broad global experiences and a creative eye to every project, evocatively bringing JORO’s journeys to life.
Lucy believes the richest travel experiences come through time spent with local people, unexpected conversations and discovering places beyond the guidebook. Drawn to small islands, magical mountain landscapes and remote communities, she is happiest exploring on foot and seeking out places that feel a world away from everyday life. Her own adventures include completing the Alta Via 2 in the Dolomites and driving solo from the UK to Arctic Finland, where she went on to live and work at Europe's northernmost ski resort.
Outside of travel, Lucy paints, illustrates and is a keen photographer. Her own collection of illustrated products has been stocked in the British Library gift shop alongside its Alice in Wonderland exhibition.
The conversations with locals that often become the moments she treasures most and night skiing in Arctic Finland and watching a ptarmigan sweep silently across the snow.
