A Voyage Across Desert, Dunes & Dust

This is Namibia as few travellers experience it: an adventurous self-drive rally across vast desert wilderness and some of Africa’s most spectacular scenery. Sun-drenched plains stretch towards distant mountains, gravel roads disappear into the horizon and the Skeleton Coast runs for hundreds of miles along the Atlantic. With almost 49,000 kilometres of track to explore, Namibia is the ultimate 4x4 playground.

Your custom-designed route traverses the iconic Skeleton Coast, linking some of the country’s finest camps with remote wilderness areas rarely accessed by vehicle. Each day brings a new stretch of road and another reason to stop. Drive alongside majestic elephants, track elusive lions with our pioneering conservation team, learn from the Himba people in their village homestead and explore the weathered relics of ships lost to the coast. Leave the vehicle behind to roam the dunes by quad bike, e-bike or sandboard. Run for miles across the desert or spend time with the teams working to protect Namibia’s wildlife.

As the sun dips behind the towering dunes each evening, pull into camp to gather round the fire for gourmet suppers. Retreat to the spa before night falls, when a leading astronomer can reveal the magnificent constellations and galaxies overhead, bringing the clear night skies to life.

The expedition concludes at Etosha National Park, one of Africa’s greatest safari destinations, with a spectacular celebration inside a traditional Boma, accompanied by live music, dancers, singers and a prize-giving ceremony. Party long into the night, under a canopy of desert stars and with the sound of lions roaring in the distance.
